PSP: Management Committee Volunteers Needed
People Supporting People (PSP), is in need of volunteers for their Management Committee. People Supporting People in partnership with Consumer Survivor Project of Simcoe County is a network of people who have experience with mental health issues and who believe in the power of peer support. We are always looking for volunteers for our Management Committee to oversee the facilitators, program directives, financial and solving any issues that might arise. The committee will meet either monthly or bi-monthly to discuss all aspects of PSP.
As we are a peer support system, we are always looking to train new facilitators for our workshops throughout LHIN 12 and/or Simcoe County, some of which include, Anger Management, Stress Management, Boundaries and Self Care, Conflict Management, S.A.D. (seasonal affective disorder), Stigma and Discrimination to name a few.
Consumer Survivor Project of Simcoe County is a flow through agency for People Supporting People. As we are consumers who have experience with mental health issues, we can use those experiences to support and educate others. Individuals can benefit from others as they work to establish a sense of well-being.
